The Summer Garden. The Summer Garden is the oldest park in St. Pe — tersburg. The work of laying out the Summer Garden began in 1704. Peter 1 ordered saplings of trees and flowers from everywhere for his « paradis». He dreamed of creating a garden more beautiful than at Versailles. |

The Summer Palace of Peter 1. The palace was designed by the architect Domenico Tresini in 1710 – 1714. It is a small two – storeyed palace. The palace was built for Peter 1 and his family. |
